Luke Rockhold doesn’t believe Bisping or GSP will fight number one contender Robert Whittaker after UFC 217. Whittaker is the interim middleweight champion and is the rightful opponent of the winner of GSP vs Bisping. Rockhold doesn’t believe either of them will fight the New Zealander. “I don’t believe Bisping will, either,” Rockhold said. “He’s ran this far. He’s finally gonna come up and get a payday. Either way, I don’t think either one fights any of us.” Rockhold believes Bisping will retire after the GSP fight. Citing a big pay-day as the reason why. UFC made 1.64 million dollars in his last fight, expect him and Bisping to make near this amount at UFC217.

Jessica Eye vs Paige Van Zant pulled from UFC 216, due to an injury to Paige Van Zant. According to sources, Van Zant suffered intervertebral disc injury training jiu-jitsu. This is the second fight Jessica Eye has had cancelled this year. Eye was due to fight at UFC 213, but her opponent pulled out.
The Jon Jones debacle will not go away. Jones has been stripped of the title after he tested positive for steroids. Jones failed a drug test after his title fight with Cormier, which he won. Jones tested positive for metabolites of turnibol. The light-heavyweight title has been handed back to Cormier, probably rightfully so. Cormier cuts a hated figure in the UFC sometimes, for reasons unknown. A man who has been put through hell and back by Jones. But still showed his arch nemesis respect on Instagram. Jones may receive a 4-year ban, due to the fact he is a repeat offender. Jones testing positive has huge repercussions for the UFC, ruining what could have been the biggest fight of all time. WWE star Goldberg was on the podcast,”The Fighter and the Kid” when he stated that had Jones passed his drug test, Brock Lesnar was on his way back to fight him.
