I’m using this article as an editorial rant.

I’m tired of men dying needlessly while society laughs!!!!!!!!

I’m tired of women getting every single health facility and men being told to go home and “COP YOURSELF ON”!!!!

I’m tired of being called a “misogynist ” who hates women and being told “man up” because I complain about men’s issues!!

I’m tired of constant adverts for tampons and vaginal dryness and none for chordee!!

Do you even know what that is?

And if not, why not?

It’s an incredibly common condition in men. (P.S chordee, is when the penis usually curves downward. The urinary opening may be on the underside of the penis (hypospadias). Surgery can usually correct chordee.)

Did you know men frequently suffer from blood in their semen and this can be a warning sign of cancer? No? Why not?

Here are some stats for you…..

Over 10,000 Irish men are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Men are statistically twice as likely to commit suicide than women.

Male life expectancy  only  averages at 76.5 while women average 82.5

Estimated lifetime risks of developing malignant cancer were about 1 in 3 for both men
and women. The risk of dying from malignant cancer before the age of 75 was about
1 in 8 for women, but about 1 in 6 for men (National Cancer Registry Board 2001)

I could go on.

I could bore you with stats. Now I’m sure some of my female friends and even some of my male ones will say “This is because men don’t take health issues as seriously as women, and tend not to seek help or go to doctors”

Well, isn’t that all the more reason to talk about it?

Isn’t that more reason to highlight it?

Isn’t that more reason to take it seriously?
